For today and tomorrow geomagnetic storms are expected, due to the solar wind expected to rise sharply in the coming hours. This impacting with our magnetosphere will result in beautiful polar auroras and some upheaval on propagation. Currently the geomagnetic shield is kp1 while yesterday at most the value has touched kp3. In essence, a situation of low activity on the Sun but Earth illuminated again by polar auroras in the next few hours. Even today there are no sun spots and they are 26 consecutive days, for a total of 225 days in the current year, equal to 75%. Propagation vote 0 even today, especially for the short skip. although long distance connections can always be made in FT8. (W4ISS)
